The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regards to the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance issue produced for intervention encounters a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office status sassa to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
